The parents of 10-year-old Matilda – the youngest of the Bondi shooting victims – have recounted the moments leading up to the attack that took their daughter’s life, saying that they thought the shots were fireworks or a ‘bad joke’. The attack on Sunday was Australia’s worst mass shooting in nearly 30 years and is being investigated as an act of terrorism targeting the Jewish community.
