US President Donald Trump says Iran’s cancellation of planned executions played a role in his decision to avoid military strikes, after earlier saying all options were on the table.
“Yesterday, they scheduled over 800 hangings; they didn’t hang anyone; they cancelled the hangings,” Mr Trump said.
“That had a big impact.”
