Five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father, who were detained by ICE agents in Minnesota an held at a detention facility in Texas, have been released and returned home following a judge’s order.
Neighbours and school officials say that on January 20, federal immigration officers use the five-year-old as “bait” by telling him to knock on his front door so his parents would answer.
John Quiñones, a correspondent from US television station ABC News, travelled with the father and son. The father, Adrian Conejo Arias, said they’re happy to be going home.
