Steven has mentioned his height multiple times on the show, claiming it’s a reason he believes he’s not conventionally attractive.
On the show, Steven said, “I’m not the typical guy that girls gravitate towards… You’ve got to be six-foot tall, an Instagram fitness model, and have a luxurious lifestyle.”
The six-foot (182.8cm) ideal had been perpetuated for years now, with some women across the country saying they wouldn’t dare date someone with a five at the start of their height.
Similarly, some blokes have insecurities about being under that magic six number, and have lied on their dating profiles about how tall they are.
However, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the average adult male height is just under 5-foot-9, or 175cm.
That actually makes Steven – at 173cm tall – almost the average height in Australia, even though he thinks he’s much shorter than everyone else.
