An armed man was shot and killed early Sunday morning after entering the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago, the Florida resort owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump, according to the U.S. Secret Service. The intruder, who reportedly carried a shotgun and a fuel canister, was fatally shot by Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy after refusing to comply with commands. Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump were not at Mar-a-Lago at the time of the incident, as they were in Washington, D.C. The FBI is now leading the investigation, and authorities are urging local residents to assist by reviewing surveillance footage.
