Inside Ukraine’s drone factories

The grinding, attritional war between Russia and Ukraine is now entirely dominated by drones. On the outskirts of Kiev, Ratel Robotics, employs more than 300 people and sells a range of ground drones designed for everything from placing and clearing landmines to evacuating injured troops and delivering supplies and ammunition.

New Scientist reporter, @mattsparkes visited Ratel Robotics to see their four-wheeled Ratel M and its six-wheeled big brother Ratel X in action, even being handed the controls to test drive the surprisingly nimble vehicles.
