In his new biography about the couple, royal expert Russell Myers explained that when George, Charlotte, and Louis were younger “The Middleton family… [became] a constant presence in their lives.”
“William appreciated their involvement beyond measure, enjoying their company and the normalcy of the environment… providing much-needed extra support for the young family.”
Carole and Michael Middleton now live a short car ride away from the royal couple’s main base in Windsor, and according to Myers, they often host their grandchildren for sleepovers.
