An armed man who drove his truck into a synagogue in Michigan, US, where children were attending preschool, was shot dead by security personnel.
The vehicle ignited after ramming the hallway of Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, near Detroit. The man, reportedly armed with a rifle, was fatally shot by security, according to a source who spoke to the Associated Press.
Oakland County sheriff Michael Bouchard confirmed no staff members or children at the synagogue’s early childhood centre were injured.
