Matildas star Sam Kerr was surprised when head coach Joe Montemurro jokingly said the striker will play at left-back against North Korea in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup quarter-final on Friday.
Montemurro was asked how he’d adjust the squad since Steph Catley and Hayley Raso are injured from concussions sustained in the Matildas’ last two group stage games.
