Trump has claimed that Iran is negotiating with the US government to end the war “but they’re afraid to say it”.
“They’re afraid to say it because they figure they’ll be killed by their own people. They’re also afraid they’ll be killed by us,” he said.
Iran has since rejected the US ceasefire proposal and countered with its own, which the US has also rejected.
