Sky News host Peta Credlin gives another example of the Albanese government “sleepwalking” into the fuel crisis.
“Four years ago, a group of eight food industry organisations lobbied the government to urgently develop a national food security strategy,” Ms Credlin said.
“This plan would have included contingencies if we found ourselves in a fuel crisis, which, low and behold, we’re now in, but regrettably, the Albanese government turned a blind eye to this plea, and there are now serious concerns about the food supply chain, as a result.
“The government … finally announced the development of a strategy, but they would do it over a two-year timeframe, which, of course, now is too little too late. We don’t have a plan.”
