Some of the biggest names in chocolate production, are investing millions into the research and development of lab grown cacao in a bid to build a more sustainable supply chain.
Almost three quarters of the worlds’ cacao, the raw ingredient in chocolate, comes from West Africa, where crops have been hit with disease and extreme weather events, in recent years.
