The United States has reportedly used a large share of its key missile stockpiles during the war with Iran, raising concerns about readiness for future conflicts. According to analysis by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, around 45% of Precision Strike Missiles, about half of THAAD interceptors, and nearly 50% of Patriot systems have been expended in just seven weeks. Stocks of Tomahawk, air-to-surface, and SM-3/SM-6 missiles have also dropped significantly. Experts warn this creates a short-term vulnerability, especially against rivals like China. While the Pentagon says it remains prepared, replenishing these munitions could take several years despite efforts to boost production capacity.
