Man charged with murder of five-year-old Kumanjayi Little Baby in Alice Springs

Police have charged a 47-year-old man with the murder of Kumanjayi Little Baby, following his arrest earlier this week.

The man has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of sexual assault.

The body of the five-year-old girl was discovered at around midday on Thursday by police, approximately 5km from where she disappeared on Sunday.

He has been remanded and is expected to appear in Darwin Local Court on Tuesday. SBS News is not naming the man for legal reasons in accordance with Northern Territory legislation.
