Like many retailers, the hardware giant uses aisle numbers to organise items. However, Bunnings goes a step further, and also categorises things by “bay numbers”, which tell you where a specific item is in the store.
There are stickers on each column within an aisle that indicates what bay number it is. On the left side of an aisle, looking towards the back of the store, the bays are odd numbers. On the opposite side, the bays are in even numbers.
Bunnings’ DIY expert, Mitchell Mclean told Yahoo Lifestyle, “Bay locations are really easy to find, both in the Bunnings app and on the website. If you search for a product and pop in your local store, you’ll find in the app that not only will it tell you what aisle it’s in and the bay that it’s in… it’ll also give you an interactive store map, which shows you exactly where the product is located in the store.”
The Bunnings website also has a map for every single store in the country, so if you don’t want to look up the bay number, you can just follow the map on your phone.
