Russia scales back Victory Day parade amid Ukraine threat | 7NEWS

Russia’s Victory Day parade has been significantly scaled back, with no tanks, armoured vehicles or intercontinental ballistic missiles displayed in Moscow’s Red Square due to security concerns over Ukraine’s enhanced long-range missile and drone capabilities. Instead of the traditional procession of 200 tanks and armoured vehicles, attendees viewed a screened montage of Russia’s military equipment. Vladimir Putin addressed military leaders and world dignitaries, declaring that victory has and always will be Russia’s, despite the diminished demonstration following a small weekend ceasefire brokered with Donald Trump’s assistance after five years of war.
