A resurfaced Wall Street theory by billionaire investor Michael Milken claims that buying shares of US companies after they appoint Indian-born CEOs can outperform the broader market. Investor Debarghya “Deedy” Das backtested the idea over 15 years and found that one dollar invested in such companies would have grown to 58 dollars, compared to 7.7 dollars in the S&P 500. The portfolio reportedly delivered annual returns of 30.3 percent versus 14.2 percent for the index. Companies led by Indian-origin executives include Alphabet, Microsoft, Adobe and Arista Networks, highlighting India’s growing influence in global technology and corporate leadership.
