Red-light therapy has become one of the hottest wellness trends of the past few years. Once consigned to dermatologist offices and beauty spas, the technology is now readily available in the form of face masks, full-body panels and even helmets.
Such devices claim to treat everything from acne and hair loss to depression and chronic pain. While many of these claims are overhyped, there is reason to believe that red light does have healing powers, some of which researchers are only just beginning to tap into.
