The anonymous caller explained that the microphones are âalways listeningâ.

A spokesperson for McDonaldâs Australia said that the speaker boxes activate as soon as a car pulls up.
But, the spokesperson confirmed that âAudio is not recorded or stored and is not broadcast or transmitted outside of the restaurant.â
