In an unprecedented escalation along NATO’s eastern flank, Romania’s military has shot down a stray drone breaching its national airspace for the second time in just two days. Operating near the Ukrainian border in the Danube Delta region, a Romanian Air Force F-16 fighter jet intercepted and neutralized the aerial intruder following intense Russian drone strikes targeting critical infrastructure across the border in southern Ukraine.
