An international student who assisted people during the Bondi Beach terror attack is appealing to stay in Australia. Abdullah Ashraf, a law student from Pakistan, had his student visa cancelled while on compassionate leave from his studies following the attack.
Ashraf told the ABC’s Sean Tarek Goodwin how he helped a number of people wounded in the attack and he wants to stay in Australia to finish his studies. The Department of Home Affairs says his case will be assessed.
