India is set to celebrate its 80th Independence Day with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the celebrations from the Red Fort in Delhi. The National Flag will be unfurled alongside a synchronised 21 Gun Salute, followed by flower petals showered by two Mi-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force. The celebrations will commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram and highlight Yuva Shakti and India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat by 2047. Around 2,500 cadets and My Bharat volunteers will participate, while about 5,000 Special Guests attend. Around 15,000 security personnel and 1,000 CCTV cameras have been deployed in Delhi for the event.
