Sam Altman never thought he’d actually be able to work on AI.
He almost gave up on it early in his career. One side quest later, and a watershed moment in 2012, would eventually lead to him creating OpenAI in 2015.
“I was always an AI nerd … I never like really thought I’d actually get to do it. I kind of can’t believe this happened, ” Sam Altman said at the G20 summit.
