A trial has begun for three men accused of killing Australian tourists Jake and Callum Robinson in Mexico.
Jesús Gerardo, also known as “El Kekas”, Irineo Francisco and Ángel Jesús are facing aggravated homicide charges, which carry a maximum penalty of 200 years in prison.
The trial judge was replaced at the last minute due to an accident, as the brothers’ parents Martin and Debra Robinson came to face-to-face with the alleged killers in an Ensenada courtroom for the first time.
