Health authorities are increasingly concerned Russia is concealing information about a potentially serious pathogenic outbreak, following the death of a plague lab technician and the quarantining of dozens of people.
The incident caught worldwide attention, despite the lack of clear information coming out of Russia, and highlighted serious problems with global efforts to monitor disease labs.
But US President Donald Trump does not appear to share those concerns, repeatedly telling reporters that Russia has the situation âunder controlâ.
Trump did say his team had only received some information about what is happening and that they need more.
