BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF took in $665 million on Monday, its largest single day since October 2025. Fidelity and Grayscale saw outflows the same day, and Bitcoin stayed stuck between $82,000 and $83,000.
Alex Thorne of Galaxy Research told Scott Melker the likely explanation is people abandoning self-custody after the Ledger and Coldcard attacks and converting spot Bitcoin into ETF shares without a taxable event. Other analysts say the driver is unclear.
He also covers bank stocks falling for six straight weeks, JP Morgan forecasting Bitcoin at 10% a year, and Mastercard building fraud screening for stablecoin payments.
