Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it has downed a fifth US MQM-170 reconnaissance drone over Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media says the IRGC Aerospace Force used advanced electronic warfare systems to bring down the unmanned aircraft. The latest claim comes amid escalating military tensions between Washington and Tehran, with Qeshm Island holding strategic importance near the Strait of Hormuz. However, the reported drone interception has not been independently verified.
