She said there was ‘widespread conviction’ that politicians were ‘incapable of dealing with systemic longstanding issues’ such as regulating online media platforms, climate change, gambling and housing affordability, adding that unlike previous reform to gun laws, or the introduction of medicare, the parliament was not ambitious enough.
