Bull riders compete for glory at southern hemisphere’s biggest rodeo

Junior riders from Australia, New Zealand and the US have competed in this year’s Mount Isa Rodeo in far-western Queensland.

The young athletes are among the 700 competitors taking part in the biggest rodeo in the southern hemisphere.

Organisers said the aim was to bring the world-famous rodeo back to the outback, after the event fell into voluntary administration in 2024.
