Air New Zealand says a flight bound for Brisbane from Wellington has been forced to turn around due to an air traffic control outage.
According to an email sent to affected passengers, the outage is impacting the lower half of New Zealand and flights entering oceanic airspace.
Flight tracking website Flight Radar 24 shows multiple international flights circling off the coast of New Zealand.
