The manhunt continues for Dezi Freeman through dense bushland, after he allegedly fatally shot two police officers and injured another in Porepunkah, Victoria, yesterday.
But who is he? The 56-year-old has called police “terrorist thugs” and tried to arrest a magistrate, court records reveal.
He has also been associated with so-called sovereign citizen ideas – where adherents use legal argumentation that has no legal basis, often predicated on a belief in the illegality of or corruption of government.
