A California school student, 12-year-old Shea Encinas, spoke alongside US President Donald Trump at the Religious Liberty Commission at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC.
Shea Encinas spoke about his experience at school, where he pushed back against teaching his class a book about “changing gender.”
“When I was in 5th, my school forced me to teach my kindergarten buddy about changing his gender using a book called My Shadow is Pink,” he said.
“I knew this was not right, but I was afraid of getting in trouble.”
Donald Trump established the commission as an initiative in May this year through an executive order as a part of the White House Faith Office.
