A British Airways pilot made an emergency landing at Sydney Airport yesterday afternoon after sending out a mayday distress signal due to a suspected fuel leak. Engineers have since cleared the aircraft for flight after determining it was a false alarm, and passengers are eligible to apply for compensation due to the delay.
