Hope for a future Palestinian state is said to be destroyed as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signs his plan to expand settlements in the West Bank.
Promising to ‘double the city’s population’, the plan includes 34-hundred new homes for Israelis.
The move will cut off much of the West Bank from occupied East Jerusalem – an area that carries significance for Palestinians, as it would be their choice for the capital of a future Palestinian state.
