LIVE | US Military Drills in Bangladesh: Should India Be Worried? | N18G

The United States has increased its military activities in India’s neighbouring country, Bangladesh. Recently, the US conducted a military drill called Pacific Angel 25-3, which involved the air forces of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the US. Before the drill, a US Air Force plane, AC-130J Super Hercules, landed in Chittagong. Bangladesh recently witnessed massive protests followed by the ouster of its former Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, who was then granted asylum in India. Her successor, Muhammad Yunus, shares close ties with the US. Meanwhile, as per reports, the US might be using Chittagong to reach to Myanmar as the two share a border. Dhaka is also looking to buy Chinese J-10 fighter jets while Beijing is constructing ports in Bangladesh and Myanmar. New Delhi is exercising caution. Palki Sharma tells you more.
