Best-selling author, Sally Rooney, has been forced to cancel all public engagements in the UK, including an appearance where she was due to collect an award, because she fears she may be arrested upon entering the country.
The Irish writer known for titles such as Normal People and Conversations With Friends.
Recently won an award for her fourth novel, Intermezzo. but she wasn’t there to receive it.
Rooney believes her ongoing support for activist group Palestine Action which has been deemed a terrorist organisation by the UK government could see her taken into custody.
