That’s how state and federal leaders have blasted Optus as more details emerge about a tech failure that saw hundreds of triple zero calls never connected and three people including a baby boy die.

The Optus boss admitting today it took 13 hours before the Telco knew there was something wrong.

That’s despite two people ringing the call centre directly to report the failure – but their alerts were not acted on.
