The UN Security Council convened an emergency meeting after Estonia accused Russia of sending three MiG-31 fighter jets into its airspace near Vaindloo Island in the Baltic Sea for around 12 minutes without authorization. Tallinn denounced the incident as a deliberate provocation aimed at testing NATO’s defenses, while Moscow denied the claims, insisting its aircraft had flown over neutral waters in compliance with international law.
