Posties in Australia are injured on roads at least five times a week, according to Australia Post.
More than 280 posties have been hurt in traffic accidents in the past year, commonly due to drivers failing to give way, cutting corners, and using a mobile phone while driving.
Australia Post General Manager Safety, Russell Munro, says the organisation is reducing their motorcycle fleet due to unsafe driver behaviour, and expanding their fleet of electric delivery vehicles.
