The death toll from flooding in central and eastern Mexico has risen to at least 64, with another 65 people still missing, authorities said.
Mexico’s Navy secretary, Admiral Raymundo Morales, said the flooding was the result of two tropical storms over rivers that were already full due to months of rain.
The country has been hit by particularly heavy rains this year, with a record set in the capital Mexico City in June.
