Sergio Gor has been sworn in as America’s Ambassador to New Delhi at a ceremony at the White House amid trade tensions with India.
US President Donald Trump claims India right now “don’t love me” but “they’ll love us again”.
“We’re getting a fair deal, just a fair trade deal, we had pretty unfair trade deals … but we’re getting close; I think we’re pretty close to doing a deal that’s good for everybody,” he told reporters on Monday, local time.
“I am confident that Sergio will do an outstanding job and make our country and all of his friends, but I’m very proud of Sergio.”
