Former US vice president Al Gore said it is “literally insane” that global warming is still happening as he demanded further action at the COP30 climate summit.
His comments came after Indigenous protesters tried to storm into the COP30 summit venue on the second day, as they demanded climate action and forest protection.
Indigenous representatives from several Brazilian communities defended the demonstration, said they wanted to draw attention to the government and United Nations.
