During an appearance on the Table Manners Podcast, the Mumford & Sons singer said that in 2020, Swift was looking for a “discreet” home studio space in the UK, and it was arranged that she would record parts of the album at Mumford’s house.
He explained, “She came down right at the end of COVID, and was the most phenomenal house guest.”
“[I] burned a lot of vegetables for her, and she brought a killer candle, actually… Her candle game was excellent.”
Mumford recalled that “she asked me to sing along and I said ‘yes’”, referring to the singer’s background harmonies in the song, ‘cowboy like me’.
