The Palestinian foreign affairs ministry has described the killing of a Palestinian couple and two of their children by Israeli security forces as an “act of extrajudicial execution.
The family of six was travelling to buy sweets and new clothes for Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
The two survivors, 12-year-old Khaled and eight-year-old Mustafa, recount that the family was minutes away from their home when laser pointers suddenly shone into their vehicle.
Israeli Police confirmed four Palestinians travelling in a vehicle were killed during a joint operation with the IDF on Saturday night, stating that officers and soldiers had been on a mission “to apprehend individuals suspected of involvement in terror” in Tammun.
This incident, the latest in a series of deadly attacks in the West Bank most allegedly perpetrated by Israeli settlers.
