More than 600 tonnes of Zespri’s RubyRed kiwifruit will be available for just seven weeks at Woolworths, Aldi, and Costco—and the new fruit is already flying off the shelves.
One of Australia’s top dieticians Susie Burrell told Yahoo Lifestyle that the RubyRed kiwi is “a true superfood, packing with extremely high amounts of vitamin C, which is a key antioxidant we need to keep the cells healthy.”
“Vitamin C is the cheapest, most powerful antioxidant any of us can consume.”
She added, “When it comes to things like disease prevention, cell health and anti-aging, getting enough vitamin C is the best thing to do.”
The RubyRed kiwi will only be available for a short period of time due to its limited growing season, and it can be picked up in 500g tubs for $7.50.
