The High Court has ruled in favour of native title holders fighting to overturn a water licence that had been granted to a cattle station in Central Australia. Mpwerempwer Aboriginal Corporation challenged a plan by Fortune Agribusiness to develop a large fruit farm south of Tennant Creek, which would require one of the country’s biggest water licences ever sought by a single organisation. The water licence will be quashed, and the application referred back to the responsible minister for reconsideration. By Emma Masters for ABC News Northern Territory.
