When Prince Harry and Meghan were married, they were officially named The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. But Meghan admitted her last name can be a âcomplicated [thing] for people to understandâ, as itâs ânot typical in that constructâ.
In a new interview, Meghan was asked what her legal name really is, and if the name âMarkleâ was even on her passport anymore.
Meghan clarified, âItâs a dukedom. So, thatâs the truth of it. But at the end of the day, you know, yes. My legal name is Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, but Sussex for us works as our family name, and itâs the name that we share with our children.â
