Australian women’s cricketers allegedly assaulted in India | ABC NEWS

A man has been arrested and charged after two members of the Australian women’s cricket team were allegedly assaulted in India’s Indore.
Cricket Australia says the players were ‘touched inappropriately’ by a man while walking to a café near their hotel, after Australia beat England in the Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Indian police arrested the suspect within six hours and charged him with outraging a woman’s modesty and stalking.
The Indian Cricket Board’s Vice-President Rajeev Shukla has condemned the alleged assault and urged Indian citizens to respect foreign guests.
The International Cricket Council has accused the Australian team of breaching safety protocol by allowing their players to leave.
