Although Robert’s salary hasn’t been publicly reported, Variety has previously confirmed that the starting salary for all celebrity dancers is US$125,000.
This covers the 20 hours of training each week, but it doesn’t take into account the prize money that the stars earn for staying in the competition.
For the celebrities that make it to weeks three and four, there’s an added bonus of $10,000 a week, and by week five, the stars receive an additional $15,000 for staying in the competition.
If they make it to weeks six and seven, they earn another $20,000 per week, and by week eight, they get an extra $30,000.
By week 9, an additional $90,000 is up for grabs, and the final prize for winning the show is a $50,000 bonus.
So, in total, the stars who make it to the finale and compete for all 11 weeks could earn up to $360,000.
