Albanese government won’t be appealing Federal Court’s gold mine decision

The Albanese government has confirmed to News24 that it won’t appeal the Federal Court’s decision to overturn a decision on the McPhillamy’s gold mine.

The government recently suffered a major loss after the court rejected Tanya Plibersek’s decision to kill off a $1.3 billion gold mine.

Environment Minister Murray Watt discussed this with News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
